I did go to the craft fair at Rosehill Racecourse last Friday with Kate and Jaclyn and came home with the lovely tape maker. I was going to buy 3 clover tape makers $60 instead I bought the Simplicity bias tape maker from Punch with Judy with 7 different sized tape makers, a box to keep them in and and extra rollers for $169. I also picked up the new issue of Homespun from here and Stitch from here. I also bought Eiffel Tower scissors from scissorman
Then Monday and Tuesday Spotlight had 30% off everything, the stripy fabric was $4 a metre minus 30% equals $2.80 a metre. Flannelette to back some fabric bought at IKEA to make more of these for Violet.
Block party and plain  light grey prima from something in the future and organic fat flats - white, natural, lime green, yellow, light blue and hot pink.

Name Game Swap

my quilt from Marg
My mini quilt from Marg arrived the other day, isn't it beautiful.
Life has interrupted my getting much sewing done at the moment, even my geese for a swap are only half done, I'm going to take an easy morning, watch a movie and try some sewing this afternoon.

WMQG

Anorina and me
Last Saturday I went to the first meeting of the Wollongong Modern Quilt Guild at Corrimal, it is quicker for me to drive to the coast than across the city to go to SMQG meeting. I met in person Anorina of sameliasmum who lives down that way, we were both part of the Flickr bee - Bee in Oz last year. See the stitching on the table you can see it finished on her blog and she has a cover girl quilt on the current issue of Homespun. Anorina is also the person behind the name game swap from the previous post and an all round crafty person.

My blocks (she made me 2 as she was late) from Natasha for January block swap adventure 2 arrived today in the mail. They are more orange than yellow, she must know I like wonky stars, aren't they great.

My mini quilt is on its way overseas I did flying geese in a ring adding the name of my partner to the top. The geese are a from charm pack of Kaffe Fasset and I hand quilted following the seam line with purple cotton perle. When my partner says she has received it I will show you the whole finished quilt,
